Sabrina Button is an outstanding young person who excels in academics, community involvement and work experience. Her commitment to her pursuit of a future in the fields of S.T.E.M is fuelled by her passion and enthusiasm for technology. Some highlights of her experiences include competing in the Waterloo Math and Computing Contests as well as winning top marks in the Pascal, Cayley & Fermat Mathematics Contests.  Sabrina has interned and worked for high technology companies in Ottawa where she built chatbots to improve company productivity as well as developing devices now used in the company’s lab research.  She started a virtual coding club to support and motivate students who wanted to learn coding and robotics.  Sabrina is an enthusiastic and effective leader in her school community and is respected by her peers and staff alike. 

The Schulich Leader Scholarships are Canada's most coveted  undergraduate STEM scholarships.  


Up to 100 scholarships are awarded to entrepreneurial-minded high school graduates enrolling in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math programs at 20 partner universities across Canada.  Half of the scholarships are valued at $100,000 for engineering programs.


Schulich receives over 300,000 applications each year from a general pool. Every high school in Canada can nominate one graduating student each year to apply for the scholarship.  Up to 1,500 students are nominated and up to 100 scholarships are offered.


We are so very proud of Sabrina.  She has accepted an offer into the Engineering Program at Queen's University and will be their Schulich Leader.  They are very fortunate to have Sabrina as their Leader!
